Emma Emilie Parsche sadly passed to be with our Lord on January 4, 2013 at the age of 82. She is remembered for her joy of dancing, beautiful smile, kindness and 'always be positive' philosophy. Emma is survived by her loving husband Hardy, daughter Gisela Loeffler and partner Mary, son Lothar Loeffler, nephew Fred Parsche and wife Debbie Miki, aunt Herta and nieces Ushi and Gabby and their families in Germany and her life long friend Berta Leberer. She was born on May 23, 1930 in Jagerndorf, Sudetenland. Emma bravely survived many hardships including, as a young girl, the expulsion of the Sudetenland Germans from Czechslovakia after WWII. With her first husband, Hermann, and her children she emigrated to Vancouver, Canada in June, 1955. Emma was always a hard worker and blessed many families with her housekeeping and care taking. She also worked in bakeries but that's not where she learned to bake her incredibly delicious cakes, which she shared with her many friends. Emma and Hardy had a wonderful 40 years together. Hardy took care of her throughout her illness. She was blessed to be so loved. We were blessed to be loved by her and we will miss her terribly. A service will be held at Avalon Surrey Funeral Home, 13288 108 Ave. on Friday, January 18th at 2:00 pm. A reception at Hardy's home will follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity. For condolences please visit www.avalonsurrey.com
